I remember one time, I was petting and sweet talking my chow mix, Colleen, and just babbling silliness the way we sometimes do. (g) Anyway, I said, "OH! If all the doggies were like you the shelters would be empty!"

And then I realized I HAD GOTTEN THIS DOG FROM A SHELTER! She had been dumped in the night deposit box!

Not too many other places in this world, that people throw treasure away without thinking about it. We are the lucky ones, for knowing what it is and taking it home.
