I just wanted to make you all aware of the policy of the Philadelphia SPCA concerning Pit Bulls, and Pit Bull mixes. Any Pit Bull or Pit Bull mix that enters the SPCA is given 72 hours for their owner to pick it up. If the owner does not come for the dog, then the dog is put to sleep. They will not allow anyone to adopt these dogs because they fear that this breed is too dangerous. I think that any animal care agency should realize that a dog breed is not inherently dangerous, and this sort of profiling is not only immoral, but extremely troubling. Although the story is not currently posted, if you want more information, go to WNEP.com, it should be posted shortly.
