CONGRATS! Wahoo! This is what agility is all about, having fun with your dog. Sounds like you had a wonderful time! No, things don't always go perfectly, at our last trial, my dog went clean in his standard runs, but, we were over time. I laugh it off, give him a big hug and above all have fun!
:Well we finally got to go to a trial. OK it wasn't a "real" trial, it was a Show N Go (or as the Jersey Agility Group called it, a Snow N Go). But they hired a certified NADAC judge and ran the trial as though it were a real NADAC trial. They had all levels of Jumpers, Standard and Gamblers. We only entered Jumpers and Standard. We did Jumpers first--and Suzie just flew through the course. She'd never done just jump after jump after jump. It was not an easy course, having about three places where the handler HAD to cross. But, we ended up with FIRST PLACE! and we got the only green "Clean Run" ribbon in our height (20"--the largest height class with about 15 dogs). I was soooo surprised and sooooo proud and happy. The standard run, on the other hand was nothing to brag about... I do mean nothing!! We were sooo not focused! But we had a great time and probably will go back in January and February (especially considering we've already paid our entry fees...) so maybe we will do better in standard then.
