...I guess that was the advice I was looking for. When we do weaves at home it's two or three times a day maximum and always fun and with treats. In class, they are really good about positive, but I too think the spread apart method confuses my dog. It probably works on the majority of dogs, but I think my dog has benifited from "seeing the end result" of it rather than the mid-points. I'm glad to hear it's not big deal to be pulling out at this point as well. My classes emphasis is doing the whole sequence and I tend to stop her when she appears confused. They try to get me to continue saying I'm making it worse by "letting her get away" with pulling out. They make me put the leash back on her and "guide" her, but she too is not a dog you tug on. Also, the pole height in class is above my armpit and I get caught on it with the leash on so I make everything worse in that scenario. I think I'll stick to my guns and not work her there if she's confused. The two methods don't seem to work together. Thank you for the advice.
