Thanks again, Linda!
I think I've seen your dog's breeder site on the web...There aren't too many breeders of Lakelands and Airedales.
What makes these Airedales "awesome"? Do they behave particularly well, and do they do so when they are off-lead?
I've read one gal's writing who said that her 'Dales gave her grey hair, and also gave her reasons to celebrate each day. I don't want the grey hairs! What is it about Airedales that makes up for the grey hairs? Do you think, from the 'Dales you've seen, that most owners woudl agree with that writer's statement?
I'm going to get a pup in several years to compete in agility with and train for Search and Rescue. I might use the dog officially, as I'm a State Trooper and might be able to take the dog with me for our frequent SARs. Or, I might just train the dog as a hobby and have a lot of fun with it. Do you think an Airedale is the breed to choose?
I have now a young Giant Schnauzer and she has such zest for life and such a sense of humor...I adore her. She gives me no grey hairs, only smiles. But the Airedale still tugs at my heart and I want to find out more about them!
Thanks again.
Kim
