Hello!
My Airedale pup is now 9 and 1/2 months old. I got her when she was about 10 months old and she is the light of my life. She gets into trouble sometimes, and she's a playful thing. But how can you help but not stay mad when she jumps up and gives you a hug and a kiss while grinning her little puppy grin. I love my Airedale, and am totally loyal to the breed now. She is defidently the clown that eceryone describs. Once she makes a mistake though - She learns, and is not at all agressive. She has passed 2 levels of obidience training and catches on quickly. I cannot say the same however - for her sister. She is a terror - as you describe. I wont even take my puppy to play anymore, and the owners have scratches and cuts on their arms. people are afraid to visit. So its hard to say why the puppies are so different. The owners of the other dog seemed to be doing a great job with her - Because when their pup was young - I visted and thats when I decided I wanted an Airedale. I myself am still learning. I do find the best methind is scolding when the do something wrong, and for something right give them tons of love an attention. it seems to be working great for me.

: Hello I have a Airdale Puppy sho I bought at 8 weeks and is now 7 months. He is a terror!!! I own a small farm and ride horses so decided on an airdale for their stamina, size, and brain BUT....... knowone told me what outgoing puppies they are!!! Do they grow out of it??? He steals anything and every thing and runs of with it hoping you will chase. He jumps up, nips, talks back and generally runs rampant all the time. Other people are afraid of him too. I have read all the books and have got a dog trainer in and we are making progress but it is slow - some days are better than others!! I would love to hear from other owners - were their pups the same, do they calm down etc
