Training question

I have a 10 month old airedale I have had since he was 7 weeks old. He is well mannered non aggressive. He and I have been through puppy school. He is not my first dog nore my first airedale. The problem I have is that he loves people and children and when I have him off leash if he sees people he runs at them. I can not call him back until he has greeted the people or scared them. What are some things I might try to break this habit? Can anyone help? Thanks Bob
