Drooling is not too common for airedales but, when they're looking to play it's not unheard of. Albert is just excited. I don't know of any tricks or cures but keep a rag close by and just make sure he's got all the attention he could want. Just let the other dog owners know that if the dogs are out there sniffing and licking as dogs do a little bit of drool won't hurt anything.
: Help! I have a wonderful 15 month old Airedale named Albert. He's turning into the best dog! Only trouble is, he drools, drools, drools!! I mean big, slimy, foaming, white, hanging down, disgusting drool! It only happens when he's excited to play with other dogs and doing alot of sniffing. He doesn't do it when he's hot, hungry, etc. The vet says it's just the way he's built, but it seems abnormal to me. Other people often won't let their dogs play with him-- poor Albert! Does anyone else's Airdale drool?
