You mean...are there any humans out there owned by an akita??
I have my second akita...Sophie. She is now eight years old..and stubborn but loyal and loving. Right now I am having a very difficult time with her. We lost her companion Sadie in June. For several years I have had a dog sitter come over and let the girls out for me while I am at work. There have been times I have worked more than a twelve hour day..and I worried so much if the girls did not have a chance to go outside. Well..since Sadies death..Sophie refuses to go outside for the petsitter. She does fine for me...but absolutely refuses to go out for the petsitter. I am still paying this girl to come over every day..but so far...no luck. I now..worry constantly when I have to work late. Any advice from other akita people?? Thanks so much. Sophie is my second akita. My first died of bloat at age eight. She was very special. Sophie and hers personality are completely different. Trudy never gave me any problems..Sophie..well she has been a knothead since day one..lol.
