I am owned by 2 Akita's and a little Terrier.

Sorry to hear about Sadie. Bloat always and still does
worry me. Poor Sophie must miss her terribly.
Have you tried to spend a lot of time with the Pet sitter and
Sophie outside? Is Sophie Food motivated at all?
The only other alternative which is something I
would not want to do, is put in a doggie door in.
I have a knuckle head male. SO I know what that is like.
You might also want to post on the Behavior/training board.
Their is a trainer by the name of Kathy Diamond
who I am sure will be very helpful.
