Hi Mike. An Alaskan Malamute can be shaved...but I wouldn't do it. Her coat will never be the same! I'd recommend a good grooming. Take her to a professional that can blow out her under coat - that should help her be more comfortable. I live in Arizona - and it works for my crew.
