it is definitely not ever supposed to happen to babies, although it can. I think it is like what happens to those very young high school boys when they collaspe during football practices. You just never know how long you are going to have them to love. I hope that you can get through this intense grieving process. You might want to consider calling your humane society and asking them whether they have a support group. Some areas of the country do. And remember that doghobbyist does have a forum for pet loss. And there are chat groups here on pet loss, also.
