Wow, she really does love the water! Beautiful dog you have there.

::What a cute picture! Of course, you reaize, by just reading the title of the post, my first thought was a catastrophic accident, quickly followed by the thought that the dog was just folding his/her legs underneath. LMAO!!

::How old is your baby and how did you get? Any quirky things that make good stories? (Of course, that HAS to be true with Aussies; they are characters>)

:Aussie turned a year old on Sept 2. I picked her up when she was 6 weeks to the day. I was visiting my vet and her breeder was there for the 6 week shots. She was the one in the litter I picked. I was recently laid off and thought it would be a perfect time to raise and train a puppy. I also didn't think I would ever return to corporate america and wanted to get a puppy for my son. She is a wonderful dog for the family. Although some times she tries to herd my boys at the wrong time. You asked for a funny story. The first time I took her out in my boat in Tampa bay stands out in my mind. I wanted to take a break from fishing so I beached the boat near an island in about 2 inches of water. I picked Aussie up thinking she would be scared of the water. As I lowered her to the water she lifted her paws like she didn't want to touch the water. I put her down anyway and turned around to get some things out of the boat (my camera and gun). I heard a bunch of splashing and turned to see her running like a little rabbit in a 25 yard circle around the boat. She didn't stop for about 45 minutes. I never laughed so hard. She was running so hard I couldn't get a very good picture of her but here are a few to give you an idea.
