Woo hoooo! Suzie got a first place blue ribbon at an agility Show N Go this past weekend! It was run like a real NADAC trial, but didn't count for points. Suzie and I had never done a NADAC trial before (we are just starting in agility), so I didn't know what to expect. Well, our first run was Jumpers--which in NADAC means no A-Frame, teeter, weave poles, tunnels or dog walk. It's just jumps--16 of them... in 26.45 seconds!! Well, not only did we do it, we did it without a single mistake and took first place!! I was so surprised and happy and proud of my girl! The photo is from her standard run (with all the equipment). We were tired and not focused and someone who was not supposed to have bait in the ring (against the rules in NADAC) left a trail of treats that was just toooo good for food-motivated Suzie to pass up. She kept stopping to sniff and hoover up whatever goodies she found. Forget the equipment, forget the jumps, there is food to be found... grrrrrr! But we had fun and will be going again next month for another go at it!
