We adopted a 2 years old female beagle last Christmas. She is coming from a university laboratory where she spent most of her time in a kennel. She is a sweet and quiet beagle. However, lately, she started making this strange sound at night (called baying?...anyway, beagle fans will know what sound I am talking about) and also yipping / barking. Sometime, a couple of firm "no" or "quiet" solves the problem, but sometime, she can't help but do that all night amd nothing will stop it. Does this mean she is feeling lonely for the night? Should I take her with me in the room? Is there any training possible? Is there any reason for these sounds (is she sick and I don't see it?). Looking forward to advice since this keeps me up all night.
Also, I left for a 1 week business trip, so my wife was the only one taking care of her. For the whole week, she kept looking for me, and when I came back home, she started having diarhea, which a friend of mine says is caused by stress. Any experience with stress / upset stomach?
Any advice will be welcome,
Thanks
