My beagle digs in the blankets of our bed, he burrows under the covers and sleeps there : ) Digging is a tough problem to stop, since the usually do it when you are not home, for dogs that dig under fences, i reccomend the invisible fence. Some people do not like them, but I believe it is an efficient way to keep a dog from leaving a yard or digging under a fence. Basically it will give him a small shock when he hits the perimiter of the yard (the fence). You can also put barriers in the way, but digging is something some dogs do, its hard to control. Just try to catch him in the act and discipline him for digging. Make sure you don't try to discipline after the digging is done, it wont work. You have to cath him doing it and make sure he understands that you don't like it. You basically have to let your beagle know digging in the yard is a bad thing, lol but if he is like most beagles, as soon as your head is turned he will be digging. Start now and don't allow digging from him if you want to prevent a problem, dont even allow it on the carpet, make the digging motion not allowed. Hope that helped!
