Hi there! As gross as it may seem, this is not all that unusual. Cat poop is actually quite appealing to many dogs, but you might try sprinking meat tenderizer on the cat poop or scooping the poop out of the litter box frequently. Check with your vet first on anything you give to your dog, but there is another product called Deter by Eight in One that is supposed to help with this. Is there a way you could block off the litterbox area such that just the cat could get in there? Maybe even check the stores and online vendors for the litterboxes that are more difficult for dogs to access. Cats can jump up into an entrance whereas a dog is less inclined to do that just for a kitty log. Good luck and keep us posted.

:My beagle is about 5 mos old and recently started eating out of the cat's litter box! I've scolded him, sprayed bitter apple and said NO! He still does not care. He runs right to that box like there's a treat in there. He has plenty of food so it's not a hunger issue. If anyone out there has experienced this, I want to know how to break him of this habit. Renee
