I understand your concerns, however, I feed raw bones. . .beef shank, joint bones, and my dogs love them. I take them away when they start to get too worn and I have never had a problem, also, my dogs' teeth are nice and white. Good luck!

:Hi, First I would like to thank you for any advice you can offer me. I have been researching the raw food diet and was planned to implement until I spoke with my vet. However, I am still not totatlly convinced not to feed raw. My main goal is to increase the longevity of my dog's life. For those feeding raw, what has been your average's dog life span? Also, if I feed raw I was planning to feed a premade diet because I am not confident with my ability to keep her diet nutritionally balanced. I was thinking of using country pet because they blanche the food. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Thank you for your assistance.
