: Thank you for your words of encouragement. Lexy is a cavalier king charles spaniel. She weighs approximately 18 pounds. How did you get past the fear of feeding your dogs a bone?
That took a while. Us humans were so programed "not to feed dogs chicken bones" Then someone comes along and tell you it's OKAY??? Well this certinally can't be right? Right? I've found the dogs are more than willing to dive right into a bowl of bones but it's the dog moms that need to get over the shock. As I said I spent a long time watching my hound as he ate his dinner of bones. Then one day I just said okay "I can handle this" and left him to eat in peace. If your not comfortable with whole bones then start with grinding the chicken parts or whatever it is your feeding her and work your way up from there. You'll be okay its us that needs to get over and all the brain washing :o))
