PHRiot did the most diplomatic and educational thing that could be done to answer your questions. Regardless of the way you choose to train your dog (and please don't let these disagreements stop you from training with your dog!) you need to do what is right for you and your dog. That's the bottom line! Try different training approaches with your dog to find out what works best for you. Neither way is better than the other, but you need to make that decision yourself.
