So I let Duke out in the morning and 5 minutes later let him in. He usually gets a treat and I give him one this time. He takes it, but as he walks past his food bowl he stops, drops the treat, sniffs at the bowl and looks at me. I say "eat your treat and you can have your breakfast." He picks up the treat, crunches it, lets the pieces fall all over the floor, then sniffs his bowl and looks at me, this time with his eyebrow cocked up. I say "look you ungrateful pig, you're going to eat that treat before you get anything else." Duke sighs very heavily, drops on his belly and proceeds to very slowly and deliberately eat the pieces of the treat he crunched up. When he's done, he hops up, sniffs at his bowl, sits and looks at me, so then I get him his breakfast. I am not making this up.
