:I'm pretty sure that's the dog's name. However, the tiles used to spell "LOLA" are taken off the street. New Orleans is older than the concept of street signs, so every street would have these white ceramic w/ blue letter tiles on the corners of every intersection to let you know what streets you were on. Naturally, as time went by street signs were invented and sidewalks became repaved, many tiles were destroyed, so you only see them from time to time.

:That dog barely fit in that wagon... couldn't even sit down. It was pretty funny, owners were having a blast too.

Yup- it was cuz of the pic you posted. Well, isn't that an interesting piece of info? No street signs-- makes sense to mark the streets in the sidewalks. Too bad many were destoyed! Nice piece of history---- thank you! I'm glad I asked.
