Well, the first day I saw him his owner had him alone in the small dog yard and Frankie was running the fence line, wanting so much to go out with the big dogs. The next time I saw him, his owner had him leashed and was debating about trying him loose in the big dog yard. Well, Frankie had a blast running around and playing with the big dogs. He really was quite charming. The third time I saw him, he was leashed and being carried out of the big dog yard. His owner told me Frankie had been a little terri-or, wandering off into the brush and not coming when he was called, etc. The owner had to go into the brush, hook him up and carry him out as Frankie was most insistent that he was staying there. It seems that Frankie had found it quite irresistible to be in the brush with his nose to the ground. Maybe he saw field mice or something. Anyway, his owner was not pleased with him. Today, Frankie was back in the small dog yard, running the fence line, and he came to the gate to greet us. If I see him there again, I will take my dogs in to play with him. He really is pretty cute and not the least bit scared of big dogs. There just aren't that many small dogs at the park and poor Frankie doesn't have anyone to play with in the small dog yard, but it is a much smaller area and his owner can keep better track of him. :-)
