We've been thinking about getting one of these charming cavalier king charles spaniels for a bit, but we are a little concerned about how the puppy would adapt to a household where a Tonkinese cat is already queen! How well do these dogs get along with other household pets? I've read that they don't like being alone; what about during the workday?

Lastly, what kind of price range are we talking about for a puppy, not for breeding, but with papers?
