So sorry for your frustration with you lil fur-kid. Sounds like a classic case of adolescence, hence, growing pains and testing of barriers. At this point, I highly recommend Obedience training or a pet Behaviorest. It sounds like your lil 4 pound Chi is starting to rule your household. Obedience classes are fun and I totally swear by them! You will sure learn a lot on how to handle your lil Chi and it will benefit because of the discipline ;) Its not harsh, call it "tough luv" Good luck and please post back to let us know how things are going. Also, feel free to post pics!

:Its a classic symptom of poor breeding. Temperment is 100% genetic and passes from generation to generation. Have the vet do a complete workover nonetheless to rule out any medical problems that may be causing the crankiness. If you don't nip her behavior in the bud now, it will only get worse. Problem is, not all behaviors can be cured due to a genetic propensity. for such.

::I have had my baby zoey for about 2 and a half months. She used to love to cuddle (and sometimes still does) and was the sweetest baby.

::She is 4 months old and as far as I know has never been hit or has had any traumatic experiences.

::However, she is turning into a mini CUJO. She snarles and viciously bites people when they try to pet her or pick her up when she is just sitting there.

::Even when she is whining to be picked up, I go to pick her up and she growls at me.

::I don't get it.

::Yesterday she bit my roommate in the face when she leaned down to give her a kiss. My little 4-pound girl punctured my roommate's nose on both sides and blood was pouring out of the wound.

::I just want to cry. I don't know what to do.

::I have tried scolding her, I have tried giving her a treat when I go to pick her up ...

::HELP.
