:Actually, I rescued him. I already had a Peke and was looking for another small dog when my friend told me about this Chow that was being abused.

:They made arrangements with the owner to find him a good home and that is how I got him.

:The first day, he wouldn't even look me in the eye. The next day I took him to the groomer and gave him tons of loving and the next morning, he woke me up by putting his head on my chest and looking me straight in the eyes. It was wonderful! I've had him for 6 weeks now and I adore him.

:We are having some behavior problems though, that's whay I wanted to find a forum about Chows.

Hi Glenda!

Welcome to the Chow Chow board. Chow's are greyt dogs, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed with him. I'm sure with being abused, there will be some behavioral problems you will have to deal with, but BLESS YOU for taking him into your home and heart. He will be THE BEST dog because of your loving nature. Hopefully, some of the chow folks will step outta the woodwork to give you some pointers. You can also post to our Dog Training Forum where there will be folks that can help you out also.

Now, what's his name? What color is he? Do you have pictures to post? I know, I know...I'm snoopy.
