Perhaps your puppy is hurting somewhere... my dog became aggressive sometimes and we found he was itching terribly around his neck coz he had had an allergic reaction to his collar and got a really bad rash.

Also, cockers are known to ahve rage syndrome, they say it is more common in golden cockers... we certainly find that with our male dog, who cannot stand it if one of us hits the other (even playfully) or if you try to take something away from him. But to stop his aggressiveness like that, we just make him sit, and shake hands, and he concentrates on his tricks, forgetting then to be nasty.
