Was told to give him Childrens Benadryl but I don't want to keep giving him medcine all the time. Was told he was to young to start on steriod shots. He itches constantly. No bad skin or skin irritation. So if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate them.

Have you discussed this w/the dog's breeder? There might be a genetic tendency in the "family" the dog comes from.

I'd also suggest discussing a visit to a canine "eye specialist" for a second opinion. I've heard cocker spaniels occasionally can have serious problems w/their eyes.
