My 7-year old rough purebreed collie, Holly, weighs about 75 to 80 pounds and i know a ton of that is just hair! I have been considering giving her a haircut so her hair would be about like a smooth collie's just for the summer. We live in texas and because it gets sooo hot here during the summer, she can never come outside and play and get her exercise because she can't stay out too long with such a thick coat on. i was wondering if anyone knows if this would be okay for her. i want her to not be so hot that she can't come outside and get her exercise, but i definatly don't want to do anything wrong to her! i would greatly appriciate some advise from someone who knows what they're talking about. thank you so very much.
