He is responding well to physical therapy, but as I am already working extra shifts to pay for that, the goal is to just get him fixed to the point that he is a comfortable couch potato. To compete with him would still be possible, but he would likely need the acupuncture/antiinflamitory treatment poat-trial, and between registration, travel and post trial therapy, it would be quite prohibitively expensive. On the bright side, he was only uncomfortable to the point of diarrhea twice last week and is visibly stiff on only one side. That's a big improvement. I just wish I had known to look for pain as a cause, rather than just digestion earlier. Who knows how long the poor guy was hurting.
