Thanks for the reply. Like I said, this is something that I won't be doing in the too near future, but it's good to start early. I am somewhat more partial to the NGA/track/racing greys for the same reasons that you went abroad to get Jezebel. The AKC hounds are too big and too heavily boned for my tastes. As it is, my 71 lb former racer, IMO was really too big to corner well. Heaven knows he tries, but I have a feeling that may have also contributed to his current convalescence. He raced as a "marathon" dog and his big wins and best times were always in distance races, as were most for dogs out of his lines. I have been toying with the idea of following those same lines and looking at litters from one of his brothers who is currently standing at stud and producing some great dogs that have similar endurance capabilities. Conformation and breeding doesn't have the appeal to me that coursing and agility does. It's a safe bet that any dog I would get would be neutered also. I would not want to bring an intact dog of either sex into my completely neutered pack. Of course, the greyhound would be for coursing, unless he showed some unusual desire to climb that A-frame :)
