I slipped him on a 100 yard straightaway for the first time in 2 months and he did great. No tremor in the right hind leg afterward and his gait was very even. I am taking this very slowly as I want him to be able to enjoy doing what he does best, but I absolutely do not want him putting his back out again. With a bit of luck he'll be ready for the spring lure trial that is held locally and will rock the veterans' class. I also slipped him once with my new foster greyhound, who just turned 3. Hamlet (the other grey) has really rather terrible conformation and was retired very young. Anyway, the old man can leave him in the dust easily.
