I agree, and I use different words too - I find the most effective with my dog is to call another dog to me - he gets jealous when he thinks they might get something that he deserves and comes running. The other option is the "oh well, I'm leaving then" and turn and run away from the dog.
I think we all find different things work for different dogs!
