You may also want to check that ears are clean and teeth. Both of these will make a clean dog smell. Only clean ears with a pet ear cleaner and cotton balls-squeeze the solution onto the cottonball then into the ear while rubbing (helps keep the dog from shaking all the cleaner onto you). Then wipe out with a clean cottonball and apply ear powder to keep the ear dry. The teeth should be checked by a vet for tartar and scraped if there is a build up.
