I know several people with Bouviers and they're wonderful, gentle dogs. I adore big dogs... my greyhounds are a nice medium size for me, and they are both big males for greyhounds. I'm sure he'll be just fine clipped, and make sure you take some pictures, as that hair will grow back so quickly you won't even remember what it was like gone.
