I personally only bathe my dogs perhaps every 1-2 months, unless they are dirty... My dogs are short-coated breeds, also. Longer coated dogs might need bathing more often. If you feel the need to bathe more frequently, be sure to brush the dog for 5 minutes or so a day to keep the oils spread on the skin and coat and prevent drying out.
