Cocker Spaniel having health problems

My Cocker, Lindsey is 7 years old, has always been very healthy.
We are having problems with her, and the vet is stumped & I am going
CRAZY! She has pain in her neck, doesn't like to lift her head above shoulder
height. Has some pain in her rear right leg. Is still eating regularly, & urinating &
having normal bm's. She has lost nearly 5 lbs. in less than a month.
We've tried steroids (Predisone, I think) Rimadyl, and a muscle relaxant.
X-rays show that she has NO skeletal problems. Blood work shows nothing, & urinalysis comes
back normal. My vet wants me to wait another week before we see a specialist, but it hurts me to
see my "fur-baby" hurting. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you, Lindsey's mom
