I'm sorry that BJ is in such bad shape. :(

It's important to realize that all these drugs are just treating SYMPTOMS... the real question is how did your poor guy get in this state in the first place, and why? It may well still turn out to be allergies, but even allergies are a symptom of an immune system dysfunction.

Hopefully the aggressive drug therapy will get his infections under control, but do keep up the good diet and try to hook up with a holistic vet... to pick up the pieces afterward.
