If it doesn't work, losing an eye is not as bad of a thing for a dog as it is for a human. Remember, dogs navigate by their sense of smell much more than by sight. It is better for the eye to come out before infection sets in if that is what the vet is recommending. Many dogs that are completely blind do just fine. I wish her luck whatever the outcome is.
