I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who has been curious about garlic. My dalmation mix, Micah, had demodex mange for a year and a half...The worst case my vet had ever seen. We did everything and tried all types of treatment. My mom (not a vet) suggested garlic pills because she knows many hunters who take them to prevent parasites, etc. So, I thought, what can it hurt? After a month of being on garlic pills, Micah's demodex mange went away and he has had no problems since then. It may be a coincidence that he just got better at the same exact time he began taking those pills, but I would like to believe that it was the garlic pills that cleared up his demodex mange. But one thing to keep in mind is that all dogs are different and what works for one might not work for another. Good Luck!!

:I have a norfolk terrier bitch that suffers badly from tick infestation each summer, despite application of proprietary veterinary care products. I have been told that feeding them garlic helps reduce infestation - has anyone else heard of this/had any experience with it??
