Yes, its gross, but, also a natural inclination. This could be because of a few things, diet, or pack instincts. I have 4 dogs and the one that is visiting for a while is low in the pack, she only eats (or tries to eat) the Alpha's poop. I highly recommend picking up after your dogs as soon as you see poop on the ground.

:How old are your dogs?? One of mine (dalmation mix) did this when he was a puppy...He would eat his and others...He eventually grew out of it...Now he just eats cat poop, which is even worse!! You may want to invest in a pooper scooper, that way the poop won't be lying around for them to eat.
