I read your(PHDrTobin) post about hip dysplasia and LongLife. I have a friend who has a lab that more than likely has hip dysplasia in both legs. She has been giving him Glycoflex and calcium for months and it is not helping. Should she try LongLife and if so where can it be purchased (on the net?)? What other suggestions do you have? Her vet is very medical and suggests surgery but she doesn't have the money right now and putting "Big Man" down is not an option, which has also been suggested by the vet. The vet does not believe in giving other things a try and is not very supportive of the glycoflex and calcium. What does not help is "Big Man's" size. He is huge and is not even a year old. When I mean huge, I don't mean overweight, he is just a BIG puppy. He already weighs over hundred pounds and is very thick and muscular. I'm assuming that his size just puts extra strain on his poor legs, etc. The vet also believes that he may have an OCD lesion. Please help!! Thanks so much!!
