:Many dogs, particularly white dogs, lose the pigment in their noses during the winter months. It's not a health issue, just something that happens. It'll most likely come back as the weather warms up.
:Another reason for pigment loss is eating from a plastic bowl (chemicals in the plastic cause the pigment loss). I prefer stainless steel bowls. They will generally outlast the dog using them and won't cause any health issues.

White dogs are white because of a lack of pigment. There may be some seasonal variation in the pigmentation, or his diet may be missing something. If there are no signs of inflammation on ther nose, I wouldn't be concerned about the bowl, but you can't go wrong with a stainless steel bowl.
