:White dogs are white because of a lack of pigment. There may be some seasonal variation in the pigmentation, or his diet may be missing something. If there are no signs of inflammation on ther nose, I wouldn't be concerned about the bowl, but you can't go wrong with a stainless steel bowl.

His water and food dishes are stainless steel. He is on a raw diet. He gets the following supplements: vit E, Vit C, lecithin, fish oil, cod liver oil (once and while), and a mixture of kelp, alfalfa, wheatgrass, algae, and spirunila. his nose doesn't seem irritated.
