It did have some good general info. It terms of having dogs around small children, you'll want to research extensively before making a selection both for the dog's safety as well as the children's. Some breeds just do NOT mix well with kids at all. I noticed an extensive breed directory at the bestpets site. You might want to use that to go over general characteristics when making your initial selection. Good luck to you!
