Hi! My name is PHAthena, I'm the message board host as well as the Assistant Dog Chat Leader.

I share my home w/my husband, WILD MAN son, and Athena the rehomed Dalmatian.

I have always had dogs, and when my son came along I made no exceptions. It takes preparation to bring an infant into a house w/existing pets, but we made the addition w/o incident. Due to the death of one of the dogs, we added Athena when my son was approximately 3yrs old. That also took diligence in training, but was also accomplished w/o incident.

Wild Man & Athena are the best of friends. He has grown to love his Spotted Dog, as well as show a love of all animals. Wild Man admonishes me when Athena's food & water bowls are empty & daily plays frisbee w/her.

Having the a child & a pet is not an easy thing...but it is well worth the rewards.

I hope we can answer questions, share stories & make this a great place for kids & their pets!
