It's been my experience that my dogs DO enjoy playing w/my son. They'll bring toys out for play when everyone is in the backyard. Athena barks like a FIEND whenever someone approaches our house & we're home. She behaves like early warning radar!

I think it's a "PACK THING." The humans are part of the pack & protecting the pack members is automatic. Isn't it great?
