Well, the puppy is adorable! Are you getting this puppy from a rescue group or shelter? If it a mixed breed, $175 seems a little high, but the preliminary vet work has been done and the microchip is a good thing. Be sure to ask about worming the pup. Actually, when I think back, Baron cost me nearly that much from a rescue group and I paid for the microchip later myself, so the price is probably reasonable, particularly if this is the puppy you have your heart set on. Find out what you can about the mother's health and ask if she has had any medical problems. Have you visited the breeding site? Try to do that if you can to avoid the heartbreak of a puppymill pup. Have you picked out a name yet?

:I may be getting this puppy next weekend. They know the mom is pure black lab and the dad is unknown. The resuce thinks he is purebred. What do think? He is 175 and that includes first set of puppy shots,microchipp,neutered. How does that sound
