Hmmm, if just Chelsea's beard was turning orange, I'd check out the possible food coloring added to the glucosamine formula. But feet? I don't know. Your parents could try Bach's Rescue Remedy (found at GNC, for one place) which is a bunch of flower essences and a calmative. A couple or three drops on the tongue and in 20 minutes you will see a calming effect. But it isn't long lasting - better for things like thunderstorms and fireworks, which don't last for hours and hours. Bach's is also found on the net by putting Bach's Flower Essences into your browser.
There are ways to socialize a dog with a cat BUT....some dogs just don't do well with them. Check out this URL (http://www.doggiedoor.com/doghouse/dogscatq.shtml) It has some information about introducing dogs and cats (and there is a link to another dog/cat relations page on the right). The Denver Dumb Animal League also has a helpful article on dog/cat introductions (about half-way down the page is the dog/cat section, but some of the steps from above (feeding the animals on either side of a baby-gate for instance) are the same techniques to use with dog/cat introductions.
