Our vet told us that our dog should weigh about double their 16 week weight. Maybe that will help. And definitely don't believe the shelter. They told us that Sam was beagle/terrier and he is part pit bull!
:It doesn't sound like your puppy is going to be a big dog. Shelters guess at the mixes and they aren't always correct. I hope that doesn't stop you from loving him and keeping him. Please feel free to post a picture of him in our photo gallery...that would be a cute mix. Congratulations on your new baby!

::We just got our first puppy friday from a shelter!! We are loving him. He is very mellow. The shelter thought he was a shar pai/german sheppard mix, but the vet thought he might be shar pai/chow mix. How can I tell for sure what he might be. He is believed to be 2 months old now, and weighs 7lbs. How big is he going to get? I am hoping for a big dog!
